Zombie Walk

Share a beer with the undead at Beer Deluxe Fed Square

The Melbourne Zombie Walk is on again this Halloween giving zombie wannabees the chance to shuffle, groan and bleed their way through the streets of Melbourne.

Just a short stroll from the Melbourne Zombie Walk hub at Federation Square is Beer DeLuxe which provides a great meeting point if you plan on witnessing the fun and entertaining spectacle.

The venue also serves as the Official Melbourne Zombie Walk After Party where humans and zombies alike are encouraged to share a few extinction level event stories with each other.

There are several areas to mingle including a cafe, salon bar, dining space and beer garden.

With over 18 fine beers on tap from pale ales to stouts, Beer Deluxe will quench any thirst, even those with a strong penchant for braaaaains. To stay in the spirit of the night, stop by the bar for a Dark Nut stout which is Beer DeLuxe’s very own limited-edition beer.

Get your zombie on disco style

Everyone involved in the actual walk is encouraged to dress up as an act like a zombie, to the shock (and delight) of the public. This year’s walk has been dubbed Disco of the Dead, so you’re guaranteed to see a few walkers sporting flares and disco shoes.

Other festivities at Fed Square on the day include ghoulish markets, spooky music and wicked makeup courtesy of the Splatter house marquee.

Not keen on brains? How about a beer and schooner At The Duke?

If you want to escape the zombie apocalypse wander across Flinders street to Melbourne’s oldest licensed pub, The Duke of Wellington where you can enjoy a drink in the wine bar, sport in the upper terrace and classic pub fare throughout.

Whether you are a zombie or simply enjoy the company of the living dead, swing by Beer DeLuxe and watch the night unfold with an event supporting a good cause.

Official Zombie Walk Route

Those keen on participating in the event should be there at 2 pm to avoid lining up. The walk itself will start at 7 pm and loop back toward the starting point where zombies can embrace each other’s rotting bodies and celebrate with a beverage (or whatever zombies drink).
